With regard to maritime security it would seem that no new or particularly important rules were adopted in 2006. Quite a different situation compared to previous years that, at an international level, were affected by the wars in Afghanistan (2001) and Iraq (2003) and therefore by the responses of international organisms to the threats of terrorism.
