- Problem with the Aeo in a still divided Europe
- Perhaps it was the sudden summer heat wave that physically weakened us or lowered our morale or maybe the fact that Ireland decided not to ratify the European Constitution and thus put the entire United Europe machine up for debate again, breathing renewed life into who are certainly not European-oriented figures, like the Polish president Lech Kaczynski, but we were overwhelmed by sudden scepticism about how much is being done (or, from another angle, not being done) with regard to security in Europe.
Our pessimistic comments arise after reading the not very reassuring news about the inactivity of sector operators who decided to take a break while waiting to make their ģevaluationsī, as confirmed during the interview with Andrea Bogliol

- The Ace system helps out USA customs
- Customs and Border Protection (Cbp) has begun using the Automated Commercial Environment (Ace) system to inspect goods at the borders. It should take the place of the Automated Commercial System (Acs), a rather modern system 20 years ago that today however is showing its age. Easier-to-manage tools are needed that will facilitate communications between different government agencies, without slowing down the flow of goods.
Every day, more than 70,000 trucks and containers arrive in American ports and each one is filled to the brim with clothes, electronic devices, household products and much more.
Before these products reach the shopping mall or supermarket, they are processed by Cbp agents who, up to now, exclusively used the Acs to auth
